In-house Assays

The Fluorosome Company offers in-house P-glycoprotein drug interaction assays, using Fluorosome^®-trans-pgp and a probe substrate, S-HR, that detects interaction at both the H and R sites on Pgp.  Because Fluorosome^®-trans-pgp contains only the Pgp transporter, results are specific for Pgp. We require small amounts of test drug and have a rapid turnaround time. Pgp interaction determinations are available at competitive cost.

• Standard drug testing protocols are available as:
  • Assays at pre-selected drug concentrations.
  • 3-point drug assays, e.g., 100, 10, 1 µM.
  • Multipoint IC₅₀ determinations.
• Custom drug testing assays designed to meet your specific needs are also available.
• The probe substrate S-HR tests for drug interactions at both the H and R sites of Pgp. Custom analyses can be designed for studies of drug inhibition at either the H or R sites individually.

In-house Assays Data

Representative IC₅₀ determinations for six compounds as determined by the Fluorosome-trans-pgp technique.  IC₅₀ values range from 0.10 to 516 µM.  Each determination was made in 7 minutes.
